Harry’s House ‘Harry’s House’ debuted at number one with half a million plus

“Winning streak” didn’t even begin to describe the success of Harry Styles and his third studio album, “Harry’s House,” which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated June 4).

The record-breaking “Harry’s House” album was released on May 20 and reached 521,500 equivalent album units in the United States in the week ending May 26, according to painting via Luminate. These numbers represent the biggest week of the year for any US album this year, and only the fourth album in the past 18 months to earn at least 500,000 units in one week.

Notably, Styles’ new wave-inspired song “As It Was” returns for a fourth week at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart – the same position it debuted seven weeks ago. Three more songs from “Harry’s House” debuted in the Top 10 of the Hot 100: “Late Night Talking” (No. 4), “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (No. 8) and “Matilda” (No. 9).

Styles also became the first British soloist to chart up to four songs in the Hot 100’s Top 10 simultaneously. And with three studio albums under his belt, “Harry’s House” is the third time the singer has topped the Billboard 200.

In addition, “Harry’s House” also held the contemporary record for vinyl album sales for one week. The LP actually made headlines as it set this record by selling over 146,000 copies within three days of its May 20 release. By the time the whole week was over, it had sold 182,000 copies on vinyl in the United States

Elsewhere on the Hot 100, Lizzo’s “About Damn Time” reached the top five on the chart, climbing 9-5. All of her top ten scores are now in the top five, with her next most recent hits “Truth Hurts” (2019), “Good as Hell” (2019) and “Rumors”, featuring Cardi B (2021) coming in).

Harlow’s First Class returns to number two on the Hot 100, after three non-consecutive weeks at number one, and Future’s “Wait for U,” featuring Drake and Tems, rebounds 4-3 on the chart, three weeks after debuting in first place.

Bad Bunny’s “Un Verano Sin Ti” finished second on the Billboard 200 with 155,000 album-equivalent units after debuting at number one three weeks ago. Kendrick Lamar “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers slipped two places to third in its second week with 96,000 units, and Future’s “I’ve Never Liked You” takes the top four, slipping to fourth in its fourth week with 77,000 units.

The blockbuster rookie Zach Bryan made his Billboard 200 debut with his first major label album, “American Heartbreak,” where it ranked fifth. The 34-track mega album enters with 71,500 equivalent album units – the biggest week for a country album. in 2022.

Morgan Wallen’s previous #1 “Dangerous: The Double Album” hit a 5-6 spot on the Billboard 200 with 51,500 equivalent album units and Jack Harlow’s “Come Home the Kids Miss You” slipped 6-7. Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Sour” topped the chart at 9-8, Tomorrow x Together’s “Min Episode 2: Thursday’s Child” dropped 4-9 in its second week, while Lil Durk’s #1 “7220” remained at number 10.
