The Michigan Football Program is looking to build a great season under Jim Harbaugh.

Even if the Michigan soccer team pulls back a bit in 2022, it looks like the Wolverines are here to stay under head coach Jim Harbo.

The Wolverines not only won the Big Ten last fall, but made their College Football Playoff debut. Here are five bold early predictions that come true for the Michigan football team.

Michigan football: 5 bold early predictions for the 2022 college football season

5. Michigan season will be decided by mid-October, whether it’s good, bad or ugly

Before Michigan prepares for its big in-state battle against rival Michigan State, Wolverines will have a strong feeling about what kind of year it will beGood, bad or ugly. No, Michigan won’t fall off a cliff in 2022, but how the Wolverines play against Penn State and in Kennick against Iowa will tell the story of their season. They need to split the pair – and possibly win both.

Iowa State won the Big Ten West last year, but Team Kirk Ferentz could fall behind, too. As far as Penn State, the Nittany Lions should be better than they were a season ago. James Franklin has received a new long-term contract extension and Sean Clifford will once again play the starting quarterback. If the Wolverines win these two games, they may reach Columbus undefeated.

On the contrary, dropping them before Sparti could point to a disastrous season for the Big Ten.
