Fandango franchise confession survey reveals moviegoers’ favorite snacks

Summer movie season is officially approaching, with a slate of epic films heading to the transmission complex in the coming months. After the COVID-19 pandemic has halted much of the theatrical cinema experience, audiences are back in cinemas — and it looks like they’re enjoying some very specific refreshment along the way. Fandango, the country’s largest movie ticket booking service, recently conducted a “Confessions of a Franchise” survey, which asked 2,500 US moviegoers about their preferences for movie snacks. This is the latest opinion poll published by Fandango, after examining their trends and insights.

“Summer movie season is in full swing, it’s that time of year when fans crave great popcorn,” Fandango managing editor Eric Davis said in a statement. “We call them ‘popcorn movies’ for a reason: because franchises are an essential part of the theatrical experience. Summer movies allow us to escape our daily routines and discover new, unforgettable adventures in our local theaters, and with Top Gun: Maverick Exciting audiences, Jurassic World Dominion and more summer movies on the way, theaters are brimming with incredible action on the big screen and fans are craving those irresistible snacks.”
