‘Westworld’ star James Marsden prepares to return for season 4

James Marsden, who starred in the first season of HBO’s “Westworld” and recurred in its second season, is back. The network announced the news Saturday at the ATX Television Festival in Austin, where Marsden made a surprise appearance during a panel to promote the show’s fourth season.

Also as part of the panel, HBO has released primary art for the new season, which returns on Sunday, June 26 at 9 p.m. ET.

Speakers included Lisa Joy (co-author, writer, director, and executive producer), Alison Schapker (writer and executive producer), and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafian and Aurora Perino.

In Westworld, Marsden played Teddy Flood, “the new shooter in town.” As a tradition, Joey and the producers have been silent about how Marsden’s return on the show will look, and Marsden has not offered any hints.

Among the few anecdotes shared, Joy noted that Wood’s Delores died, but she wanted to write another character (writer) for the actor, which is why she came back. “We promised you not to wear corsets,” says Joy Wood. Wood said she incorporated some Joy’s hand gestures into playing her new writer character.

Joy also praised new cast members Aurora Perrineau for not giving away any spoilers, including her character’s name, on her first panel on the show. “Don’t reveal anything at all!”

Westworld Season 4 stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul, Angela Sarafyan and Marsden. Additional cast members include Ariana Debus, Aurora Perino, and Danielle Wu.

“Westworld” executive producers include Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, as well as Alison Schapker, Dennis T, J. J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, and Ben Stephenson. The show comes from Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television; It is based on the film written by Michael Crichton.
