Cleveland Guardians continue to launch bowler Shane Bieber on making MLB history
The Cleveland Guardians player who started bowler Shane Pepper was injured for most of the 2021 season, but he has shown that he remains a dominant starting player and one of the best players in baseball in 2022.
He continued to show his dominance on Wednesday by going into 4.1 innings, allowing only three hits and hitting six while not allowing walking or running before rain delays.
His fifth goal of the evening was the 700th of his career, making him the second fastest bowler ever to achieve the feat.

Bieber has made 11 starts in the season so far and has an ER of 2.91. He averages just 2.2 walks compared to 9.4 strokes in all nine runs.
He was an All-Star in 2021 despite not playing in the majors between June 13 and September 24 but won the AL Cy Young Award (and came fourth in the AL MVP vote) in 2020.
That year, he led the majors with 122 strikes in 77.1 runs (or 14.2 strikes in all nine runs). He also led the majors in wins (8), ERA (1.63), and FIP (2.07). He led the American League with an injury rate of 5.4 h/9.
In 2019, he placed fourth in the AL Cy Young award vote after going 15-8 with a 3.28 ERA in 34 games (33 starts) and hitting 259 hitters, which is third in the AL.
Bieber will likely be on his way to his third All-Star Game of the season with The Guardians when the game is played in Los Angeles at Dodger Stadium next month and continues to show why with his dominance this season and in his career.
