Johnny Depp Announces Upcoming Surprise Live Show: How to Get Tickets | music | entertainment

While Johnny Depp awaits the jury’s ruling in the defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard, which he won, the Pirates of the Caribbean star traveled to the UK for some surprising music performances. The 59-year-old has appeared on Jeff Beck’s tour at a number of major concerts, including at the Royal Albert Hall. The duo have since announced a new album called 18.

The pair have been working on the record for the past three years, and one single was released with Depp’s lyrics. The track is called This is a Song for Miss Hedy Lamarr, and it’s a song about the 1940s movie star.

His words in the chorus include: “I can’t believe, I can’t believe, I won’t believe humans anymore… It’s so hard to speak when no one can hear, and everyone stares and you shiver in fear.”

On top of all this, actor Jack Sparrow has another show coming up this summer.

Depp joins an impressive lineup at this year’s Montreux Jazz Festival from Diana Ross and Stormzy to Bjork, Sam Ryder and Nick Cave.

Speaking to the audience on Gateshead’s June 2 show, Beck said of Depp, “I met this guy five years ago and we haven’t stopped laughing since. We’ve already made an album. I don’t know how it happened. It’s coming out in July. When Johnny and I started playing Together, it ignited a youthful and creative spirit. We were kidding how we felt 18 again, so this just became the album title too.”
