LeBron James has been the face of the NBA for nearly two decades. His era may be coming to an end but his family isn’t going anywhere.
Of all the great things about LeBron James’ career, his longevity may define him. In his 19th season in the NBA, he averaged over 30 points per game and even earned the MVP vote. Only 23 other players in NBA history have managed a career that lasted 19 seasons, and for comparison, James had more points average in his 19 season than Dirk Nowitzki and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar did in their careers, sum.
It looks like LeBron still has a few good years ahead of him, but even as his career is winding down, it’s clear that his influence isn’t waning. His sons, Bruni and Bryce, are NBA-related pilots who could extend his legacy beyond his retirement.
When will Bronnie James and Bryce James participate in the NBA?
The 6-foot-3 bodyguard, Bronny James, has been on the NBA’s radars for years. He will turn 18 in October, enter his final year at Sierra Canyon and have been rated as a four star recruiter by most potential client rating services. He has reportedly already received a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky and will first be eligible to enroll in the 2024 NBA Draft. LeBron has already hinted at the idea of hanging out long enough to see Bronny drafted and get a chance to play together. This draft is very far away but it is currently being seen as Probability late in the first roundWhatever it is, it’s worth years in advance.
Price will turn 15 later this week, but he is already said to be an inch taller than Bronny and, according to Brian Windhurst, is seen as a better long-term prospect by some scouts.
Price will be eligible to enlist in 2026, and frankly, it’s not impossible to imagine LeBron still around healthy enough to play with his sons.
