Eduardo Rodriguez will not return to the Tigers for ‘personal matters’

No details were provided on the nature of Rodriguez’s personal concerns. There has been speculation about his social media activity that he provided a hint.

Rodriguez had just completed the start of his rehab for Toledo Modens, making four goalless rounds with only two strokes and nine strokes. This was exactly the kind of performance Tigers fans had been hoping for from the bowler who signed a $77 million contract with the team in November 2021.

This season he went 1-3 with an ERA of 4.38 in eight games. His last game was on May 18 against Rays, and he left the match injured.

Tigers 24-35 and they sit fourth in the center of the area. This season hasn’t come close to what they were hoping for and this setback won’t particularly help him get any closer to an unwelcome injury update for Casey Mize.
