Overwatch 2 open beta release date announced

The Monitor 2 It gets an open beta on June 28, although there’s no word at this time on how long it will last. What has been confirmed is that it will be on PC, console, Junker Queen, and a new map. In the meantime, subscriptions will begin on June 16, which is also when more details about this beta will be revealed.

Junker Queen was just revealed over the weekend after months of rumors that she would be the next character added across the sequel. It was only revealed on Sunday, and it wasn’t in the previous closed beta that took place earlier in the year. In other words, this will be Note and watch First chance for fans to get hands-on with the character.

This news also comes on the back of news that the game will release appropriately – via early access – on October 4th and, when released, will be free to play.

“We can’t wait to publish the start of Ooverwatch 2 Experience October 4 and offer an exciting new competitive vision, featuring stunning new content and reimagining the iconic heroes, maps and gameplay that made the original game so compelling,” Blizzard Entertainment President Mike Ybarra said of the game’s Early Access release date over the weekend. “This marks the beginning of an ever-evolving and ever-evolving era for the franchise, recommitting to serving players with frequent and significant updates well planned into the future to maintain Monitor 2 Fresh and fun for many years to come.”

Of course, when the details are revealed on June 16, we’ll update you with everything you need to know, but for now, that’s just how much information Blizzard has revealed. As you might remember, when the first game entered the open beta, its hype train appeared out of nowhere and really took off. Blizzard will, of course, hope to repeat this success.
