The Molasses Flood – a studio owned by CD Projekt Red – appears to be working on his own project, and it appears to be a multiplayer game. This splash of insight comes in the way of a job listing for a multiplayer designer. He didn’t say anything about the mystery game the magicianbut that seems likely at this point.
“CD Projekt Red is looking for a multiplayer designer to support the Molasses Flood development studio on their ambitious project based on one of CD Projekt Red’s IP addresses,” the job posting reads. “The person in this role will create engaging multiplayer gameplay features, modes, and scenarios, driving them all from concept to implementation. This designer will report to the lead multiplayer designer and will work with the Design Director, other designers, and across disciplines to build creative, balanced, and fun experiences Multiplayer.
If this was a Witcher multiplayer game, it would probably be something on the smaller side of things with the studio being on the smaller side. In order to produce an AAA, it would need to be very contracted to increase its size exponentially, and at the moment, there is no indication that any of these things will happen.
At the time of publication, neither CD Projekt Red nor Molasses Flood nor anyone concerned with either has commented on any of this. If this changes – which we don’t expect to happen – we will update the story accordingly. In the meantime, take all the speculation linked in this story with caution.
