Todd and Julie Chrisley speak out after being convicted of bank fraud and more

For years, they’ve been known as the most daring Southern parent ever on reality TV, but now, Todd and Julie Chrisley are known for something a bit more serious. Indicted in 2019 on 12 counts of bank, tax and wire transfer fraud, Jolie has obstructed justice. Ultimately, at the trial in Atlanta last month, a jury of their fellow couple indicted the charges. Now they are talking about their feelings about the situation.

The Chrisley I know The stars dropped the insight during part of their long podcast, Confessions of Chrisley (Opens in a new tab)After a hiatus of a few weeks. Todd Chrisley – who was accused at trial by a former co-conspirator/business partner of having an affair with him – prefaced their statement that they would not be able to discuss the charges directly. (The two are still planning to appeal the conviction.) However, he did share what they lean toward at this time, saying:

I know you all want to know every detail that happens in our lives, and I must ask your respect because we are not allowed to talk about it at the moment. There will come a time when all of this will be discussed. And I think we’ll let everyone decide what they think. …but we wanted to come today and let everyone know that it is a very sad and heartbreaking time for our family right now. But we are still steadfast in our faith, trusting that God will do what He does best because God is a miracle worker. And that’s what we stick to.
