Ahsoka’s Rosario Dawson shares a new behind the scenes video

Rosario Dawson, the actor who plays Ahsoka Tano in live action, has shared a new behind-the-scenes video of the character’s upcoming series on Disney+, which began filming in May and debuted at Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, confirming the return of the characters from Star Wars Rebels, including Natasha Liu Bordizzo who played Sabine Wren, as well as lost Jedi Ezra Bridger and Rebel Alliance pilot Hera Sindola. Dawson has shared a new behind the scenes video of the Star Wars series. The video shows Dawson’s silhouette in full outfit and makeup as Ahsoka Tano. You can take a look below.

Ahsoka Tano is a Star Wars cartoon icon. Speaking at Star Wars Celebration, Dawson said that the series tries to be as faithful to Ahsoka’s roots as possible, and looks to specific frames of animation for inspiration in combat choreography.

“Over and over again, yes, freeze frame,” Dawson says. “I think some of my favorite things are actually, so we’re working with this amazing coordinator, Ming, and she’s a Jedi like literally. She was taken to the temple at the age of nine, and from nine to nine I only watched her family once a year, so she was young Basically, then I trained in martial arts for a full 10 years, and this is the one who trains us in Wushu and all kinds of things. And I’ll pick up frozen frames and clips from performances and show them and be like, “Ahsuka can do this.” Can we train me to do this? And she says, ‘It’s not physically possible. This is an animation, but we can do it.’ And it was really, really amazing. So we thank God for all this research and the history that we got.”

Ahsoka Tano returns to animation as a main character in Star Wars: Jedi Tales, the recently announced anthology series that also features stories on Qui-Gon Jinn (with Liam Neeson returning), Count Dooku and Mace Windu. Speaking to ComicBook.com in May, Ahsoka’s voice actress, Ashley Eckstein, said she has not met, spoken to, or otherwise contributed to Dawson. Ahsoka Live show. She hopes that will change.

“It’s something I haven’t been a part of,” Eckstein said. “I’d like to be, but I’m just a fan at this point. I’m not involved in the live-action series. I haven’t met Rosario Dawson yet. We’ve never had the pleasure of meeting. I’m talking about throwing your dreams into the universe. And so it’s definitely my dream to get involved someday. And maybe I’ll make a cameo or you’ll play a role, or you’ll meet Rosario sometime, someday. You got to throw your dreams into the universe.”

Ahsoka It will debut on Disney+ in 2023. My grandfather’s tales Premiere fall 2022.
