The highly rated Steam game is currently free to download and keep, but time is running out to take advantage of the offer. The free game does not come via Steam, but via Fantacial. Which churns out free Steam codes for a game called Reventure, a title with 84 on Metacritic and a Steam user rating rating “overwhelmingly positive,” with 95 percent of 6,282 users rating the game positively. In other words, it was well received by critics and even better by consumers.
Unfortunately, by the time you read on, there’s a good chance you’ve missed out on the opportunity to download this game for free. Rather than being free for a specific period of time, it is limited to a number of copies. Now, at the moment of publication, Copies are still availablebut that will change quickly.
As for the game itself, it debuted in 2019 via Pixelatto. We don’t know how well it sells, but as we have pointed out, the game has been well reviewed across all fronts. Also available via iOS, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED. Meanwhile, it has been verified on Steam Deck, which means that it is fully supported on the new portable PC.
“You’re a wannabe hero who’s supposed to do heroic things but sometimes you go off at that and do crazy things instead,” said an official teaser about the game. “Choose your path, every decision leads to a new ending. Will you find the true end? Is there such a thing? Only one way to find out…”
We don’t know why the game was made free on Steam via Fanatical. Unfortunately, there is no word that it will be available for free on Steam or made free on the Nintendo Switch. There is a possibility that the former will happen because the games are provided for free on the PC digital storefront to some extent. There is no chance of that happening in the end. Games are never offered for free on Switch. In fact, Nintendo may not allow this unless the game is free to play, but that’s different.
