South Korean group BTS is the biggest music act on the planet, but they shocked fans earlier this month by announcing that they would be taking an indefinite hiatus to focus on individual projects. This news was particularly surprising as it was announced in the midst of their ninth anniversary celebrations. However, the seven members of BTS insist that they will regroup at some point down the line, and a new wave of Funko Pops has been launched, so all is not lost.

After nine years together, leader RM explained that the group is struggling to position itself after the release of ON. Had it not been for the pandemic, BTS would have been on hold after the release, but COVID-19 has led to a new wave of comebacks like “Butter” and “Permission to Dance”.

In the video, RM said: We have to accept that we have changed. “For me, it was like BTS came in handy until ‘On’ and ‘Dynamite,’ but after ‘Butter’ and ‘Permission to Dance,’ I didn’t know what kind of group we were anymore.”
