Doctor Strange 2 originally included a horrific death scene for The Wasp

Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness He introduced a live-action version of the Illuminati to audiences, including returning characters from other projects such as Patrick Stewart, Charles Xavier and Anson Mount’s Black Bolt. Other new additions to the superset include John Krasinski as Fantastic Four Patriarch Reed Richards and Hayley Atwell’s live debut as Captain Carter. This is not to forget the arrival of Lashana Lynch as Captain Marvel. At one point, the Illuminati also included The Wasp (Evangeline Lilly), although it was eventually omitted from the script.

“Yeah, I think I watched Aliens And I was just thinking about the way these Marines are butchered, and yes, I was glad it worked,” The multiverse of madness Writer Michael Waldron says during the film’s voiceover (via direct). “I think originally, the wasp was in a version of the illuminati, and the wasp shrank and flew into Wanda, and [Wanda] Just clapped her hands and crushed the wasp in the first draft.”

Waldron and Odd Producer Richie Palmer were the ones who scored the caption, with the latter adding Waldron definitely swinging over fences with his scripts.

“Those Jonathan Hickman Illuminati comics were some of the greatest comics ever written, and I think those comics are from the New Avengers collection from the Secret Wars era,” Palmer adds. But, Michael, I remember reading your first draft of the Illuminati stuff and bringing in disbelief, and going, ‘It kills all the Illuminati?’ He made her kill all the Illuminati. We will not be able to do that. Wait, can we do this? I hope we can do that.”

Palmer commends his superiors for not telling them to back off, even though the Scarlet Witch Elizabeth Olsen is killing the entire Illuminati in the most brutal way.

“Yeah, I was so afraid someone would tell us we went too far, and no one had done that before,” the producer continues. “Sam, you’ve always helped us get there. Kevin has always encouraged us to move forward with it. Our other bosses, Luis de Esposio, Victoria Alonso, have all supported us every step of the way to advance this film.”
