Nintendo Direct could still happen in June 2022 after Xenoblade 3 stream | Games | entertainment

The rumor mill is full of claims that Nintendo may have another live scheme in June 2022. Every year June is the month when Nintendo holds its biggest show of the year, and House of Mario usually makes a huge hit around the time of E3. This year is a different thinking with the iconic Game Show that didn’t even happen digitally, yet it’s still thought a big Nintendo Direct for June 2022 could happen.

Despite the recent Xenoblade Chronicles 3 stream that happened this week, a Nintendo Direct in June 2022 is still thought to be on the cards.

A leaker who not only correctly predicted the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Direct, but also leaked the runtime ahead of schedule, claimed that the new Direct will launch the week of Monday, June 27.

This is highlighted in the post On the Gaming Leaks and Rumors Reddit page.

In it the Redditor wrote: “Someone on 4chan, who claimed to have leaks on Xenoblade 3, accurately predicted that the live Xenoblade 3 would be announced today, several hours before it was announced. They even expected it to be 20 minutes long.”

“They say in their posts that live will happen next week.”

Of course, the big caveat to this rumor is that the news is coming from the infamous email message board 4chan.

But while 4chan has been the home of many fake and fake leaks, it has also been the home of individual micro leaks – examples being the Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee leak before the official announcement from Nintendo.

As always with rumours, it’s best to take the claims with a pinch of salt until official confirmation. But besides this 4chan leak, other sources have also claimed that the new Nintendo Direct will be dropping soon.

The news comes courtesy of former IGN journalist Alanah Pearce as well as the Direct Feed Games Twitter account, both of whom said earlier this month that the Nintendo Direct in June 2022 was slated for around June 29.

Pearce revealed the possible date for the next Nintendo Direct in a recent Twitch broadcast, while the Direct Feed Games Twitter account backed up that claim in a Twitter post afterwards.

The trusted account claimed that the next Nintendo Direct should take place on June 28 or June 29, depending on what timezone you’re in.

The account tweeted: “Information is accurate. Broadcast window either June 28th or June 29th – may depend on timezone/regional location.

“It was never planned for the next week. It was set in late June for several weeks. This is not the result of a delay.

“It’s as planned.”

In terms of what to announce, among the most likely contenders are Zelda Breath of the Wild 2, Splatoon 3 and Bayonetta 3.

While fans are certainly hoping for surprise updates to games like Metroid Prime 4 – which was first revealed five years ago this month – as well as a remake of the classic N64 Goldeneye.
