Pride events in San Francisco can be traced back to 1970, when a parade and celebration took place on the last weekend of June of that year. The event was organized by the San Francisco Gay Liberation Front and saw the Gay Liberation March 20-30 people walk from Aquatic Park to the Civic Center on Polk Street on Saturday, June 27. Today, however, SF Pride is celebrated a lot, on a much larger scale.

Under the banner of #LoveWillKeepUs Together, this year’s event will feature more than 200 show and exhibitor units as well as more than 20 theaters and community-run venues.
