Starfield fans split over controversial feature

Bethesda has confirmed a divisive feature in its upcoming sci-fi RPG, starfield. Starfield looks very ambitious, and a potential benchmark for open-world gaming if it succeeds in all its potential and promises. This is a big thing though. And if the inclusion of the aforementioned feature is indicative, the game may cut some corners here and there. When starfield Launching in the first half of next year across PC, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X, the protagonist will be silent.

As you know, Bethesda Game Studios has made silent and vocal heroes in the past. Many players prefer the former, as the latter can be an immersion breaker and certainly lead to excitement for the viewer. However, among hardcore RPG fans, in particular, silent heroes are preferred because it allows for deeper role-playing. Furthermore, some fans are relieved to hear that the last time Bethesda Game Studios did it, with Fallout 4Well, it wasn’t very good.

The news comes directly from Bethesda Game Studios Twitter Accountt, confirming the presence of the silent protagonist along with ensuring that all dialogue in the game takes place from a first-person perspective. As expected, the responses were divided.

“Thank you very much! That is why CoutureAnd the SkyrimAnd the amnesiaAnd the Dragon Age: Origins Too overwhelming for me,” He reads one of the most popular responses. “This is frankly disappointing and companies should stop doing this. Do it the magician or any other RPG with character voices,” Read conflicting opinion.

Right now, the response is pretty divided in the middle. However, even if it’s mostly negative, Bethesda Game Studios won’t change it at this point because the game is too long in development.

For what it’s worth, Bethesda has more experience making games with silent heroes, and most of the time, they’re very well executed. Meanwhile, she has little experience with the voiced heroes, and it’s not done very well, so the path of the silent hero has always been more likely than the voiced protagonist.

As always, feel free to leave a comment or two to let us know what you think. Is this the right call made by Bethesda Game Studios and Xbox or should they have gone with the protagonist?
