Who are the British players participating in Wimbledon 2022? How many of them aspire to glory and will Andy Murray and Emma Radocano be among them?
As the tennis world descends on SW19 over the next two weeks for the third Grand Slam of the season, for some players this tournament is their own.
Wimbledon is the only Grand Slam to be played on grass, with the All England team outside Flushing Meadows, Roland Garros and Melbourne.
For every superstar like Andy Murray or Emma Radocano, there will be another unfamiliar British player taking to the grass with his own goals and objectives.

British players at Wimbledon 2022
After injury fears over the past two years, Murray will return to Wimbledon in 2022 – a tournament he won twice in 2013 and 2016 – and also take home his first Olympic gold in 2012 against Roger Federer.
Raducanu will be heading to her first home grand slam as the winner after her success at last year’s US Open – although her level is mixed.
Murray and Radocano are just two of the 44 strong British players to compete at Wimbledon 2022 via women’s, men’s and wheelchair events. Players are only counted once, even if they are playing doubles events.
The only two Grand Slam winners are Murray and Radocano – although the likes of Jimmy Murray, Cam Norrie (below) and Heather Watson are also in the standings.
