Deborah James was a deputy teacher at Staines before her cancer diagnosis

Ms Deborah James, who followed the battle of cancer fought by thousands on Instagram, has sadly passed away at the age of 40.

She was receiving hospice care at the end of her life for eight weeks after being diagnosed with bowel cancer five years earlier.

Her family announced the tragic news on Instagram, writing: “We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mrs. Deborah James; The amazing wife, daughter, sister, mummy. ”

They went on to say before sharing a few final words from Deborah herself: “Deborah passed away peacefully today, surrounded by her family.”
