Fourth special flow of South Park Detected by Paramount + with South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 It is scheduled to premiere on July 13. Despite the title, South Park’s “The Streaming Wars” is literally about broadcast wars, and has nothing to do with watching TV shows online. In the premiere special, it was revealed that South Park is suffering from a dehydration caused by fan favorite Mannburg. The water shortage also stems from the number of farms in the community, including Randy Marsh’s “Tigridy Farms,” which has been turned into a massive Tolkien plot and other fan-favorite characters.
The South Park live event specials have combined as part of a new deal to order 14 South Park films for Paramount+ with the TV series itself renewing through season 30, meaning it will stay on the air until at least 2027. The value of that deal was reportedly in the region of $900 million. Currently, the South Park TV series airs on HBO Max, but Paramount+ previously confirmed that the entire South Park catalog will be available to stream on the platform starting in 2025, two and a half years from now.
“Comedy Central has been our home for 25 years, and we’re really happy that they’ve made a commitment to us for the next 75 years,” the duo said of the deal. “When we came to ViacomCBS in a different way to produce the show during the pandemic, Chris (McCarthy), Nina (Diaz), Keys (Edgar Hill) and Tania (Giles) were immediately supportive and enabled us to try something new and it was received really well. We can’t wait to get back to Traditional South Park episodes but now we can also try new formats. It’s great to have partners who will always be adventurous with us.”
South Park New episodes are currently releasing on Comedy Central, the backlog can be streamed on HBO Max, and the original movies can be found on Paramount+.
