The witches are back! The Sanderson sisters — Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Sarah Jessica Parker), and Mary (Kathy Najimi) — return in the first trailer for Hocus Pocus 2, released Tuesday along with the poster and new images from the 1993 cult sequel to the 1993 Halloween classic. Disney+ has updated the landing page for the Disney+ Original movie, which airs September 30, revealing another look at the modern-day vacuum cleaners for the charming trio: a vacuum cleaner and a pair of Roombas. Doug Jones, who appeared in the first movie as the zombie Billy Bucherson, is also back.
The 1993 original starred Omri Katz, Vanessa Shaw, and Thora Birch as the third trick-or-treater tasked with breaking the spell of the Three Witches after they are inadvertently resurrected on Halloween night. hocus pocus, Which opened on a not-so-scary release date of July 16, 1993, grossed just $45 million, but it has lived on as a seasonal classic.
