LaKeith Stanfield’s The Changeling casts a shadow over the islands of the future

Apple’s upcoming series “The Changeling” has added Future Islands player Samuel T. Herring to the cast, diverse Learn.

The role will mark Herring’s acting debut. He joins previously announced LaKeith Stanfield in the series, along with cast members Adina Porter and Clark Backo.

“Change” is based on the book of the same name by Victor Laval. It is described as a horror story, a paternal tale and a perilous journey through New York City that you didn’t know existed. Stanfield plays Apollo, a passionate rare book hunter.

Herring will play William Wheeler, a man who befriends Apollo in an attempt to get his wife and children back. Future Islands was originally founded in 2006 and consists of Herring on vocals, Gerrit Welmers om Keyboard and Programme, William Cashion on guitars and guitars, and Michael Lowery on drums. The band has released several singles and six studio albums to date, the last of which was “As Long As You Are” in 2020.

Herring is represented by CAA and Constant Artists.

Kelly Marcel will write the adaptation in addition to serving as executive producer and show director on the series. Melina Matsoukas and Jonathan Van Tolkien will direct executive production. Stanfield is also an executive production in addition to starring. Megan Ellison, Sue Naegley, Patrick Cho and Ali Krogh will executive produce on behalf of Annapurna, with David Knoller also executive director. Matsoukas will executive produce through her film De La Revolution Films and co-executive producers for Aunt Neal. The series is produced by Apple Studios and Annapurna.
