The four hobbits from the world-famous chain were reunited at a restaurant recently, and a nearby fan found himself dining in the Shire as his day was entirely done by dining near Lord of the rings Reunion.
A fan realized his obsessive dreams when he and his wife went to dinner and sat next to one, not two, but four Lord of the rings The hobbit. Elijah Wood of Frodo Baggins and Sean Astin of Samwise Gamgee were joined for dinner at the restaurant by Pippin, Merry, Billy Boyd and Dominic Monaghan respectively. If you find yourself grinning from ear to ear when looking at a picture, don’t worry, you’re not the only one. The joy this photo brings is immeasurable, and it definitely seems like there was some great joy that I felt while taking the photo as well. Just look at Dominic Monaghan’s face, it’s pure hobbit fun.
Peek at that face behind Dominic Monaghan’s face, though, and you’ll see a beaming fan blowing out probably one of the most cherished photos he’ll ever find himself in (sorry wedding photos and new baby births). Even more remarkable is the fact that Monaghan screams in the caption.
The event wasn’t captured just once in this photo, though, because the bomber himself tweeted the entire encounter. Although he *swears* that he wouldn’t interfere with their low-key reunion, he did just that in the best way possible, which we relive with his many tweets. Here are the words behind the first innocent post on a Cam Olsen fan Twitterstating that he was quite “grumbling” to share a space with the four hobbits:
My wife and I went out to dinner and were seated next to Elijah Wood and Sean Astin. I’ll respect their space and won’t bother them, play it cool and all, but I’m definitely going out.
The tweet was followed by a series of tweets informing her followers, and now everyone who found the confrontation between a man and his hobbit heroes as endearing as me, about the evolutions of the dining experience. At one point, he fully admitted that he snapped a photo of his four-star Lord of the Rings, and finally sent out a tweet proving that, in fact, he wasn’t “playing it cool and all”:
I couldn’t help it. On the way, I thanked them for their effort in bringing LOTR back to life. They were so kind I shook Sean Astin’s hand. I had a Shire tonight and loved it.
I have no doubt in my four mind Lord of the rings The stars perfectly noticed that the fan freaked out over his power at dinner, but their kindness was noted for letting him come to them on his own terms. While acknowledging a Hobbit in public is likely a regular occurrence that comes with being a part of one of the world’s most beloved franchises, you should feel satisfied when fans thank you for your work and get to know you.
