Doctor Strange in a multiverse of madness Actress Elizabeth Olsen recently appeared in Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Unfortunately for Fallon, she revisits the Scarlet Witch and an unforgettable moment from the movie: her dealings with the Black Bolt. In a clip shared by the show’s TikTok channel, Olsen and Fallon recreate the moment with a playful twist.
In the video, which you can watch below, Fallon stops in the green room where Olsen is waiting. But while speaking, Fallon notices his mouth is drying up before the show and asks for a cough drop, well Olsen channels her inner scarlet witch, her glowing eyes and all, and asks “Which mouth?”

That’s right, she shuts Fallon’s mouth just as Wanda did Black Bolt (Anson Mount) in Doctor Strange 2. Of course, it’s pretty clear that Fallon ended up with a better fate since the show went on, but the moment was a humorous little nod to one of the movie’s most memorable moments. Shocking – and grotesque. In the movie, Wanda shuts Black Bolt’s mouth and is well. He tried to talk and it killed him, something that Julian Foday, ILM VFX Supervisor previously discussed, on how to create that.
“For Black Bolt, it starts with shutting down Wanda by closing his mouth, or rather ‘removing’ his entire mouth,” said the director. “That was a CG patch that we created using texture photography from the actor. Then to create the sonic blast that bounces back into his head, effectively jamming his brain, before blowing the back of his skull, the way we approached it he was going to do it on Ground “.
As for Olsen, she doesn’t know if Wanda’s return is in the cards or not, but she did tell Fallon that, as a joke, she wants fans to “terrify” Marvel to bring her back.
“I hope so,” Olsen said. “They don’t tell me anything about my fate. No. I don’t know. I should go back. But, I really don’t know. I want my fans to be so aggressive and scare them into doing this or something. I mean, that’s not a good way to actually do anything.” I take it back. Nobody needs to use force.”
