Spinoff “Stranger Things” won’t follow Eleven, Steve, or Dustin

“Stranger Things 4” has been a popular culture phenomenon for Netflix and ranks as the number one English language television season most watched on streaming devices. The series is easily the streaming giant’s best-known franchise, so it’s not shocking to hear that it’s going to continue even after the fifth and final season. Series creators Matt and Ross Duffer are developing a “Stranger Things” spin-off, but don’t expect a series that focuses entirely on the likes of Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven or Joe Keery’s Steve.

The Duffer Brothers recently said in Podcast “Happy Sad Confused”. “It’s not very interesting to me because we did all of that. We spent I don’t know how many hours exploring it all. So it’s very different.”

The Duffer Brothers said the spin-off will be “1,000% different” from the main series. The biggest connective tissue between the original “Stranger Things” show and the upcoming spin-off will be the “storytelling sensation” rather than the main characters.

“Hopefully we’ll find that right person to pass the wand to as we continue to do new things,” the Duffer Brothers said, adding that they were “really upset” about their spin-off. The duo said that even Netflix doesn’t know what they’re planning for the show yet.

For the upcoming “Stranger Things 5,” the Duffer Brothers said fans can expect a somewhat shorter, faster season.

“The only reason we don’t expect it to be that long is because if you look at it, you’ll find about two hours before our kids are really drawn to a supernatural mystery,” Matt said. “You get to know them, see them in their lives, what they’re struggling with, adjusting to high school, etc. Steve tries to find a date, all that. Obviously none of that will happen in the first two episodes of [Season 5]. “

He continued, “For the first time ever, we don’t end things at the end [Season] 4, so it will move. I don’t know it’s going to go 100mph at the start of 5, but it’s going to be moving really fast. The characters will actually work. They will already have purpose and drive, and I think this will take at least a few hours and make this [final] The season really looks different.”

The first four seasons of “Stranger Things” are now streaming on Netflix.
