On December 17, 2021, a Kadokawa Anime YouTube channel shared the first preview trailer for Overlord season 4, announcing that the series will premiere its fourth installment in 2022. While fans around the world are now counting down to the upcoming season 4 release of Overlord, the community is well and truly accustomed to the long breaks between new content. When Season 3 of Overlord ended in October 2018, not many of us thought we would go two years without any news of Season 4.
However, Overlord fans are already accustomed to a long hiatus between broadcasts by this point, including the 26-month interval between Seasons 1 and 2. The good news is that there should be plenty of Overlord content to look forward to; Not only is the show very popular with fans around the world, but there is a lot of source material from the original light novel series.
