Boasting a roster of former participants, the freezing temperatures will surely make them want to return to scorching climates, no matter what sacrifices must be made. Hot on the heels of lovable shark week of programming, Naked and Afraid XL: Frozen It will premiere July 31 on the Discovery Channel.
According to a press release, “In the freezing Rockies, near-freezing temperatures, hypothermia, and frostbite are just a few of the immediate dangers available until 12 a.m. Naked and scaredIt takes all the most famous and experienced stars 14 days and a punishing night in the frozen, ice-covered wilderness. These top survivors have encountered the insect-infested Amazon rainforest, the scorching heat of Africa, and the venomous snakes of Southeast Asia. To take their next step towards becoming legends in the franchise, they must overcome the harshest conditions they have faced thus far. Will they reach the next level and survive this winter challenge, or will they get out of the challenge?
Dropped into one of the most inhospitable locations ever – the windswept and snow-capped Rocky Mountains – these elite survivors will be tested like never before.
