About 90 minutes after postponing his first tour date at “After Hours Til Dawn” stadium in his hometown of Toronto, The Weeknd posted a message to fans on his Instagram story. The ceremony was postponed shortly after doors were scheduled to open due to an ongoing one-day outage of one of Canada’s largest wireless networks, Rogers.

“I am broken and heartbroken,” he wrote. “I’ve been at the place all day but it’s out of our hands due to Rogers’ wrath. Operations and security have been settled and I have done my best ever. This is the most painful thing, we will make thjis show happen, but unfortunately not tonight. I know how long you’ve been waiting and how hard So many of you worked to get to the show and experience this special moment with me. I can’t wait to see you all.”

It closed with a broken heart emoji.
