You may not have known him before, but Super Mario Bros. Once upon a time he had an anime. Back in the day, the Nintendo team worked with Grouper Productions to turn their IP into an anime for fans to enjoy. The 1986 issue faded into deep obscurity soon after its release, but fans have been fascinated by this strange history for decades. And after its recent restoration in 4K, Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Save Princess Peach She provoked her English dubbing.
The sneak peek comes from the Mario Radio Show on Twitter where the page helps translate the anime throwback into English. As you can see below, a simple scene is shown in this promo starring Mario and Luigi. The brothers only work on their regular gigs until a strange client turns their lives upside down. Before long, the entire movie will be dubbed into English for fans to enjoy.

Of course, we have the crew at Kineko Video to thank for the project. The group announced that it was making a 4K version of the classic anime after the 16mm version was released on YouTube in 2021. These releases marked the first time that a 16mm version had been released on YouTube. Super Mario Bros. The film can be watched outside of Japan as the film has not been released globally. With no home videos to scan, a Nintendo movie accidentally popped up when a surviving theatrical reel was found in stock, now Mario gets the dubbing he’s always deserved.

As for that same movie, you can watch the Japanese dubbed feature on YouTube right now. Super Mario Bros. History was made when the anime dropped because it was the first ever movie based on a video game. With its esky roots, Super Mario Bros.: The Great Mission to Save Princess Peach It has surprisingly held up to this day, so fans will want to stay tuned to see how its English-language exhibitions are taking place!
