There were a large number of MLB players who were unable to enter Canada to face the Toronto Blue Jays because they were not immune. This is a comprehensive list of these players.
Currently, Canada has banned any unvaccinated people from entering the country. This also applies to MLB players and individuals who have not been vaccinated. As a result, there were more than twenty MLB players who were not placed on the banned list while their team was in Toronto.
With being on the restricted list, players lose their pay and service time.
Below is a comprehensive list of unvaccinated MLB players, as of July 12, 2022.
List of MLB Vulnerable Players
As of July 12, 2022, there have been 26 MLB players who were placed on the banned list when their team was in Toronto since they were not vaccinated. There are 18 shooters and eight players at the center. There is certainly more, but some unvaccinated won’t be affected if they don’t play in Toronto this season. The teams are listed below in order from when their first trip to Toronto occurred during the season.
- Auckland AS (3): Catcher Austin Allen, Redeemer AJ Puk, Redeemer AJ Snead
- Boston Red Sox (2)Outfield player: Garen Doran, thinner Tanner Hawk
- Seattle Mariners (2): Starting pitcher Robbie Ray, loyalist Drew Steinrider
- Cincinnati Reds (4)Player: Albert Almora, player Brandon Drury, batsman Joel Connell, starting pitcher Tyler Mahley.
- Chicago White Sox (2): Start Dylan’s jug stop, loyal Kendall Grafman
- Minnesota Twins (4): Outfielder Max Kepler, Redeemer Trevor Miguel, Redeemer Emilio Pagán, Undertaker Caleb Thielbar
- Baltimore Orioles (2): Sincerely Keegan Akin, defensive player Anthony Santander
- Tampa Bay Rays (2): Sincerely Brooks Raleigh, Sincerely by Ryan Thompson
- Philadelphia Phillies (5)Player: Alec Bohm, bowler Billy Walter (Walter selected for the Palace rather than being placed on the banned list), bowler starting Kyle Gibson, bowler starting Aaron Nola, catcher JT Realmuto
It’s worth noting that as of this post, only the Texas Rangers, Houston Astros and New York Yankees have put any players on the restricted list before heading to Toronto.
