Sadie Sink was not nominated for an Emmy

The reason why Sadie was not nominated for her role as Max Mayfield is likely for reasons other than her acting. In fact, according to Entertainment WeeklyThere are specific requirements that must be met in order to be considered for an Emmy Award.

The magazine wrote that productions must premiere between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022, and since Stranger Things 4 Volume 2 wasn’t released until July 1, 2022, this may have affected Sadie’s chance of being nominated.

Although it received no nominations, the Netflix show was recognized by the Academy of Television, with Stranger Things receiving thirteen nominations overall – which isn’t surprising considering it’s the most talked about series of the year.

The hit Netflix show earned a nomination for one of the main categories – Outstanding Drama Series.
