fall guys Developer Mediatonic has apologized for the auto-buy store disaster. newly, fall guys It suffers from a bug – or so players claimed – where the in-game store makes purchases without input. Several gamers complained about the issue on Reddit and Twitter, and at first, Mediatonic wasn’t very concerned with these complaints. Having said that, the issue has gained some traction today, and these isolated complaints have become an even bigger problem, prompting Mediatonic to change its course.
Originally, Mediatonic denied the existence of the issue and was assuring gamers that the issue was on their end, saying that there had to be a button entry to make a purchase. Below, you can read the email a player sent about the issue, courtesy reddit:
“Please allow me to correct something from your response, reads the customer support email.” You mentioned that this is an “error purchase” and a “known issue”. None of this is the case. The purchase was made by you, not a mistake. Whether it was on purpose or not, that’s still the case. This is not a “known issue” because it is not an issue. The system cannot purchase items automatically, it always requires input from the operator. Again, accidental or not, I made that entry and purchased the item. Subject to our EULA, which you have agreed to, all purchases are considered final and will not be refunded. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused, and I hope I have made this clear to you.”
This new store is a joke, was checking out some items and spontaneously bought this interface that I will never use. At least you have a confirm button or something like that. Not even a cancel purchase button? My console doesn’t have any issues with stuck buttons or double pressing when it wasn’t intended. From

Of course, this is not the best customer service. Not only does it go against the “customer is always right” policy that most places have adopted, but the tone isn’t great either. It’s definitely not very professional, nor is it accurate.
Since all of this happened, Mediatonic has changed its tune and announced that it is working on a redesign of the store and refunding everyone who encounters the issue.
