UK broadcaster ITV Posted her Diversity Acceleration Plan The 2022 report, detailing the progress made so far. ITV’s top 50 programs with highest viewership contribution and highest ratings as well as new commissions show significant progress in the proportion of people of color in leadership roles since 2019. The broadcaster also published cross-data, which, by looking at the representation of people with many protected characteristics d/deaf people, people with disabilities or people with neurodiversity, ITV has been able to remove barriers further and better understand their experiences. ITV data shows that the proportion of women of color and black women in ITV (8.7% and 2.1%, respectively) exceeds the national average (7% and 1.7%).
The next phase of the Diversity Acceleration Plan 2022-25 involves championing diversity through mainstream content and creating fair opportunities for people in ITV and across the industry. ITV recently revealed the Diversity Commissioning Fund, which holds 80 million pounds ($95.4 million) of the commissioning budget over three years, to drive change toward racial equality and disability. At least £20m of the fund is earmarked for production companies led by people of color, deaf, disabled or neurologically diverse. In addition, ITV has created a new development fund of £500,000 to develop ideas eligible for the Diversity Commissioning Fund.
ITV also set a new goal of increasing the number of people from working-class backgrounds to 33 percent by 2025 – the first time the broadcaster has set a socioeconomic background goal.

The Film and Television Charity Extended the deadline for completing the 2022 Looking Glass Survey to July 24. The charity hopes the extension will encourage more people across film, television and film to speak up in support of better mental health. Presented Insight will also continue to support the charity’s cause for change as it works with organizations across the creative sector to create better working practices. They particularly want to hear from people outside London, and from people who belong to underrepresented groups, including: blacks, Asians and ethnic minorities; Those considered LGBTQIA+; Persons with caring responsibilities; disabled people; self employed. and women.
Those who complete the survey and provide their contact details will be entered into a prize draw to win a ticket to the Edinburgh Television Festival, a ticket to a future Royal Film screening, or a Cineworld Unlimited Pass.
