Yo Yo Hakusho from Netflix reveals first look at Kazuma Kuwabara

Netflix’s fourth and final Yu Yu Hakusho character poster is here, and it’s all about Kazuma Kuwabara. A few days ago, anime fans took off when Netflix started publishing the first looks at its live adaptation of Yu Yu Hakusho. Now that Kazuma has been peeked, the character will look a little different in real life.

As you can see below, the character poster confirms that Shuhei Uesugi will play the protagonist. The front is seen in Kazuma’s classic blue uniform wearing a white shirt under the school’s top. The biggest difference here in appearance is due to the orange hair of the hero. In the original series, Kazuma was known for her bright orange hair that was often wrapped in a gravity-defying look.

and here? Well, there is no orange hair to be seen. Instead, Kazuma appears to have bleached her hair in this Netflix series, so she’s more blonde than anything else. So, even if the color doesn’t match up perfectly, Kazuma still appears as a rebel with his hair.

As mentioned, Uesugi will play Kazuma, and the actor is no stranger to filming. The star started working in 2015 and has starred in a number of projects such as One Week Friends, Followers, My Boyfriend in Orange, and more. His new job as Kazuma is definitely one of Uesugi’s biggest roles to date, and he will be joined on screen by some talent from the A-list.

After all, Yu Yu Hakusho had already confirmed his other three leads. Yusuke is played by Takumi Kitamura while Kurama and Hiei are played by Jun Shison and Hongo Kanata respectively. At the moment, a firm release date for this live-action series has not been set, but Yu Yu Hakusho is expected to hit Netflix much sooner.
