Monsterverse Apple TV series reveals stars

Apple TV+’s MonsterVerse series is set to bring back Godzilla and a lot of other fellow kaiju via a small on-screen appearance, and while the show itself has yet to reveal its official title, it looks like the two main stars of the series have been picked. With confirmed cast in the forms of Anna Sawai, Rain Wattab, Kersi Clemons, Joe Tibbett, and Elisa Lasofsky helping finish the cast, it appears that the father/son team of Watts Russell and Kurt Russell is poised to lead the series that will bring Monarch back.

In addition to the cast, the series is set to be directed by Matthew Shukman, who previously worked at Disney + Wandavision Beside It’s always sunny in Philadelphia. Although a release date for this new series hasn’t been set yet, this isn’t the only place Westerners are taking the Japanese Kaiju series, as a sequel to Godzilla vs. Kong In preparation. Set to bring back director Adam Wingard and bring in new star Dan Stevens, there were few details when it came to the story, despite the film’s title being “Son of Kong.”

The MonsterVerse debuted with the 2014 movie Godzilla, giving Western viewers a fresh look at the King of Monsters.
