‘Dungeons & Dragons’ Chris Pine shows first look at Reggie Jean’s page

In the evening before its official unveiling at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” offers a first look to those already strolling through the San Diego Convention Center, showing footage of characters played by Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Reggie Jean Page and more cast members.

Payne’s figure looks like a poet, ripping on a chopstick before ripping through the air with a sword. Rodriguez wields an axe in battle, while Pidge has a dagger, a sword, and a heavy suit of armor. Smith appears to be a wizard, while Lillis appears to be a priest or guard. It concludes with Grant appearing in the promotional reel with a torch and some tea.

Paramount Pictures will pull the curtain back on “Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves” during Comic-Con Hall H Thursday afternoon. Several cast members and directors are expected, Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley.

Based on Hasbro’s Dungeons & Dragons, the Paramount and eOne feature is produced by Jeremy Latcham, Brian Goldner, and Nick Meyer with executive producers Denis L. Stewart, Goldstein, Daley, Pine, Zev Foreman, and Greg Mooradian.

While the film is fictional, Pine hinted at a somewhat lighter tone, noting that it was inspired by “Game of Thrones,” but also from works like “The Princess Bride,” “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” and “Fools.”

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is scheduled to hit theaters March 3, 2023.
