New free Nintendo Switch games online come with a big surprise

Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have free new SNES and NES games, or more specifically, two new SNES games and one new NES game. Since these are neither Sega Genesis nor N64 games, these new freebies do not require the Expansion Pack tier of the Subscription Service, aka the most expensive level of the Subscription Service. All you need to download and enjoy the three new games is a basic Nintendo Switch Online subscription.

The three games are the following titles: Fighter HistoryAnd the Kirby AvalancheAnd the Daiva 6 Story: The Nirsartia Empire. The first two are the aforementioned SNES games while the last is the aforementioned NES game. The first of these games, Fighter Historydeveloped and published by Data East, who first released the game in 1993 via arcade, with a NES release not coming until two years later in 1995. The second of those three games, Kirby Avalanche, debuted in 1995 via HAL Laboratory, Compile, and Banpresto, with Nintendo serving as the publisher. The third and final match Daiva 6 story: Imperial of Nirsartia appeared in 1986 via T&E Soft and Toshiba EMI, with the former being the developer and the latter being the publisher. As you know, this game has not been released in the West before, so its inclusion is surprising as it can now be played all over the world for the first time.

As you might expect, Nintendo has released a new video highlighting the three games. The video comes from the official Twitter page on Nintendo of America. Meanwhile, if you watch the video on the Nintendo Japan account, you’ll notice that it’s a little different, because Japan subscribers get Super star stacker kirby instead of Kirby Avalanche.
