Mayans MC has been renewed for a fifth season in FX

On Sunday, it was announced at San Diego Comic-Con (via diverseThe series has been renewed for a fifth season. The fifth season of the series will premiere sometime in the year 2023. In addition, it has been announced that co-producer and executive producer Elgin James has signed a new multi-year deal with 20th Television.

Elgin is a visionary leader who has taken on the nearly impossible task of being in multiple places at once as a director, presenter, and writer for his great work. Mayan MCCarrie Burke, President of 20th Television, said in a statement, “He’s also a passionate hero of emerging voices and young storytellers in front of and behind the camera, which is yet another reason we love working with him. There’s almost nothing he can’t do and we’re grateful to have him at 20.”

In a statement, James expressed his gratitude “to every member of the Maya family.”

“20 is my house,” James said. “I can’t wait to see what we can create together going forward. Every member of the Maya family, from the top of our summons paper to our designated protected areas and everyone in between has put their blood and sweat to make the Maya something special on set and on screen.”

Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Edward James Olmos, Dani Pino, Carla Baratta, Michael Irby, Raul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral, Emilio Rivera, Sarah Bolger, Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero and Vincent Vargas. It premiered in September 2018. Season 4 of the series ended with some major twists, as EZ (Pardo) took control of the MC with Bishop (Irby) by his side while there was an all-out war with SAMCRO on the horizon, setting up something great for an explosive season 5.

“Yes, we always knew we wanted to go there,” James previously said. “In Season 4, we definitely stepped on the gas a little bit. While creating these characters, Kurt [Sutter] And she talked about how EZ has gone down that path and it’s going to Stanford but that’s never going to happen. The universe was going to throw him back where he belonged – and that was always his destiny. For three seasons, he wasn’t sure if he was in or out, but now, it’s all there.
