“Avengers: Kang Dynasty”: Daniel Destin Creighton to direct

The Kangxi Dynasty has its leader.

A Marvel Studios representative has confirmed that the director of “Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings” will continue his work in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he said.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige announced “The Kang Dynasty” during the company’s wide presentation at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, as part of the two-part finale to the Multiverse Saga series — similar to the way 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War movie “and The 2019 “Avengers: Endgame” series has concluded the Infinity Saga.

Unlike those movies — which were filmed and directed in succession by MCU veterans Anthony and Joe Russo — Cretton will only direct “The Kang Dynasty,” which is set to premiere May 2, 2025. The follow-up, “Avengers: Secret Wars,” It is scheduled to open just six months later, on November 7, 2025. No director has been announced for this film.
