Black Panther fan notes Excellent details in Forever Wakanda trailer

.’s first trailer Black Panther: Wakanda Forever It was released on Saturday and confirmed that Namor, played by Tenoch Huerta, is indeed coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And while the trailer didn’t give fans many details about the character and his role in the eagerly awaited movie, it did give us a glimpse at how the MCU is set to alter the origin and story of one of Marvel’s first characters. Now, an eagle-eyed fan has discovered another important detail in the trailer which is giving us more attention not only about Namor but also about his people.

On social media, writer Rena Cervantes notes that while in the water the Atlantean characters appear to have “normal” human flesh tones, but when they are on the surface and using a respirator, their skin is blue. By contrast, Namur always appears with “normal” flesh colors and does not require the use of a breathing aid. The takeaway is that Namur is a human heritage why his skin doesn’t change color and doesn’t need help to breathe at the surface. For example, Cervantes shared screenshots of Namora (Mabel Cadena) in the water and on land.

This is a very interesting note. In the comics, Namur is indeed a human heritage. Specifically, Namur is the mutated son of a human sea captain and princess of the mythical undersea kingdom of Atlantis, and unlike other Atlanteans, he doesn’t have blue skin and can breathe air at the surface although in the comics the other Atlanteans are flayed blue either on land or in the sea. Interestingly enough, though, in the comics Namura – a cousin of Namur – is also a human/Atlantic hybrid and has consistent skin and the ability to breathe air as well. It seems that if Namur’s human heritage was the cause of the difference in skin color and breathing abilities, then Namura might have a different background story in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Than its comic book counterpart.

While all changes to Namur and his people to come Black Panther The sequel has yet to be revealed – we’ll have to wait for the movie to come out to fully discover everything – we know that the movie draws inspiration from Aztec culture and legend and extends that to the very name of the sea itself, the Namur civilization from. In a press release for Wakanda forever Album Prologue, composer Ludwig Goransson revealed that the name for the MCU on Atlantis is Talocan, which appears to be a derivation from the legendary Aztec heaven, Tlālcān.

“During the nights of these trips, we had recording sessions with contemporary artists who resembled the thematic characters and materials explored in the film,” the author wrote. “Using Ryan Coogler and Joe Robert Cole’s text as a blueprint, along with recordings of traditional musicians, we set out to build a musical vocabulary for the characters, stories, and cultures of the Talocan and Wakanda.”

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Opens in theaters November 11.
