The director of Digimon Adventure reveals where Digimon really came from

Digimon have been around for decades, but even after all this time, there are still a lot of questions about their monsters. Tai may have solved a lot of issues for Agomon and his type, but that doesn’t mean everything is wrapped in a neat arc. Fans still have questions about where the monsters came from, and in a recent conversation, the producer of Digimon Survive revealed how the director of the original Digimon anime sees their origins.

For those who don’t know, Kakudo earned his spot in the Digimon Hall of Fame after working on it Digimon Adventure. The director oversaw the series of songs that followed Tai and his friends on all sorts of quests. It turns out that he worked with Digimon SurvivalHabu Kazumasa on the upcoming title, and the producer said that Kakudo spoke to him candidly about where the Digimon really came from.

According to Kazumasa, the animation director does not believe that Digimon was born from technology. Instead, they are something that has been around for centuries, and they simply use technology to manifest themselves before humanity.

“I had several conversations with the director of the anime series Digimon Adventure, Hiroyuki Kakudo. We’ve talked a lot about what a Digimon are, and Kakudo-sensei’s understanding of Digimon is that they are more of a spiritual being rather than a digital one. For people who have played with Virtual Pet, they understand that Digimon only exists in the digital world so they are basically a type of data. However, Kakudo-sensei believes that these monsters have always existed.”

“They have been about humans in a more spiritual sense. It is not just a matter of data. Accordingly, Kakudo-sensei believes that Digimon have always been partners with them, so they have a great bond and interact with each other a lot.”

As you can see, Kakudo has a specific vision in mind when it comes to Digimon and its origins. It’s easy for monsters to get in touch with technology, but they’ve been around for much longer than anyone knows. and as Digimon Survival Making its way to fans, this idea will be explored with a new cast of characters.
