Was Bakugou marginalized by his ultimate law?

My hero academyHis final chapters have put Katsuki Bakugou in hell in the final war against Shigaraki, and the final chapter has made it seem as if Bakugou’s career as a hero is over – both physically and psychologically. Bakugou is forced to step up and fight AFO-Shigaraki during the last war, after the elaborate aerial cage made by Pro Heroes for the villain crashes and crashes. Even with his powers suppressed, AFO-Shigaraki’s enhanced body has more than enough power to inflict massive damage to heroes – including Bakugo.

(warning: My hero academy Chapter 360 SPOILERS Follow!)

In the final chapter of the My Hero Academia manga, Shigaraki still brutally crushes Bakugou. Not only does Shigaraki beat Bakugou physically, but he also beats him mentally, telling him how he plans to kill him and leave his body intact enough to harm Izuku Midoriya, and that Bakugou will never outsmart Deku, but will remain a “mind” in One For All’s wake.

Bakugo ends up being rescued by UA’s Big Three, but by the end of the class, Best Jeanist tries to convince Bakugo to quit, but the young man’s resolve won’t give up, and he seems to be about to fall into a huge Force Awakening whim. But even with a new power, Bakugou won’t be able to stop Shigaraki, and he may end up in more danger than anything else – if not one last big torch of his powers.

Will My Hero Academia marginalize Bakugou by the end of the story? It kind of depends on what the term “side” means…

Bakugou Style was the story of an ambitious and arrogant young man who wants to be a professional champion who learns to be a more humble and team player (even if in his own way). Fans were excited to see how the series would bring the full story of Bakugo and Izuku (which was really how the series started) to the end. Death flags were apparently hung over Bakugou at several points in the story, but death similarly always seemed to be just a misrepresentation of the young hero.

My Hero Academia started with the dynamic of Deku being a frail boy Bakugou looked up to. It would be fitting for Izuku to eventually advance as a super strong hero while Bakugou can’t serve anymore – at least that way. After all, it was Izuku’s spirit that made him a hero even before he was awarded the All For One – so Bakugou learning what that spirit really is and having his new role in life (in a positive, supportive way, not a tragic one) would be a strong finale that must be sealed.

What do you think Bakugou’s fate will be in my hero academy? Let us know in the comments!
