The Seattle Seahawks have some boot camp issues that begin, but don’t end, with DK Metcalf’s contract dispute and retention.

The 2022 season should be great for the Seahawks as they transition into the post-Russell Wilson era.

The team faces important questions about its future, from the job security of its head coach to the uncertainty in the midfield to the composition of a defense it once took pride in.

As bootcamp begins, these are the biggest unresolved issues looming:

3 Unsolved Problems in Training Camps for the Seahawks

DK Metcalf Contract Dispute

The Seahawks will have to pay or lose DK Metcalf.

As it is, the wide-star receiver attends the camp but does not participate in the practice due to unresolved contract issues, According to Adam Scheffer of ESPN.

Metcalfe is under contract for 2022 but wants a similar bag to Terry McLaurin’s deal with the Leaders or the Cooper Cobb extension with the Rams. These men earn $23.5 and $26.7 million, respectively. Metcalfe on his start-up makes just under $4 million.

Seattle has gone through this with other stars before and it looks like the receiver is willing to sit through the entire pre-season if the deal doesn’t go through.
