On Wednesday, Netflix released the trailer for Guillermo del Toro Pinocchio. The film, del Toro’s first animated feature, stars Ewan McGregor as Sebastian J. Cricket, a cricketer who lives in Pinocchio’s wooden heart and serves as a storyteller for the film.. Del Toro collaborates with Jim Henson and ShadowMachine on stop-motion Take the novel by Carlo Collodi, Which is about a boy doll comes to life. With McGregor, the cast also includes David Bradley as Geppetto, Gregory Mann as Pinocchio, Finn Wolfhard, Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, and Bourne Gorman, with Christoph Waltz and Tilda Swinton.

Pinocchio It expands on del Toro’s current working relationship with Netflix. Previously co-creator of the Emmy Award-winning animated television series hunters, the first installment of the Arcadia Tales trilogy. Del Toro’s horror anthology debuted on Netflix later this year.
