Nintendo Switch Sports Live’s second update along with patch notes

new nintendo The Switch Sports update has been released across the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch Lite, and Nintendo Switch OLED along with patch notes revealing what has changed with the game’s second update ever. The answer to this is not much. Unfortunately, the update does not come with any new updates or any huge new features. What it comes with is soccer, volleyball and bowling modifications.

While we know what Nintendo has changed with the update, we don’t know how much space Switch, Switch Lite, and Switch OLED users will need for fork or how long the download will take, aka we don’t have information about the file size. The patch notes suggest a smaller download, but that’s just speculation.

Below, you can check out the full patch notes for the update:

football

  • Soccer can now be played one-on-one and four-on-four with the leg strap Play globally: On the select sport screen, highlight the soccer ball and press the X button – Play local: on the screen to demonstrate how to press and hold the Joy-Con controllers, press On the + button – Play with friends: On the screen showing how to hold the Joy-Con controllers, press the + button.
  • A new camera mode has been added. To use it, go to the sports selection screen, then Options → User Settings → Other (for hands mode only).
  • The camera can now be reset during gameplay by pressing the X button.
  • Players won’t jump high anymore when kicking frequently, it should also be easier to jump to the maximum height (in two-handed mode only).

volleyball

  • You can now perform slide attacks, a coordinated movement where the player crosses the playing field before jumping to hit the ball – to do a slide attack, move the stick left and right after hitting the ball. This movement is great for catching opponents by surprise – to fend off a slide attack, quickly start moving towards an opponent who is preparing to hit the ball with the stick to get into position.
  • Now you can perform Rocket Serves – On serve, shoot the ball high and hit it at its peak to do a rocket serve.

bowling

  • Modify how pins fall – it’s now harder for pins to fall when bowling straight – it’s now easier for pins to fall off when playing with a curve.
