Samurai Jack creator Gendy Tartakovsky Popeye footage appears online

Genndy Tartakovsky has definitely been busy in recent years, signing an exclusive contract with Cartoon Network, and most recently releasing the first episodes of season two of primitiveworking on a new animated series in Unicorn: Eternal Warriorsan animated movie for adults, fixed. Recently, Tartakovsky made the news for quite a different reason as the cartoon in his original adaptation of Sailor Eater Spinach, Bobonline, although the leak has not been around for long.

Sony Animation has canceled the eighty-seven-minute leak that was shared on Youtube, though fans can still get a glimpse of what the animated film might look like with this animated quiz released in 2014:

In 2015 interivew with Cartoon Brewcreator Samurai Jack, Dexter’s Laboratory, and Primitive Adult Swimming Find out the original reasons for the cancellation of the movie Popeye:

“Basically we did a check-up, and it was great. Internally, everyone was very happy with it. I think it was also exactly what King Features wanted. We had a great reaction.

But this was also during the height of the Sony hack, and I felt like something was going to happen soon. So after the show, I didn’t get an answer from them, which was weird because everyone was so positive. Usually, we meet, talk and get feedback. But they had a meeting on their own, and that was it. I just got a phone call afterwards telling me how amazing she is, which always makes me skeptical. If they just call to tell you it’s great, something is going on, because they haven’t given any feedback. Later, I went to see in person [then Sony Pictures Entertainment executive] Aimee Pascal, and said, “Look, I’m a big boy. I can take it. I just need some information.” And she said, “Look, Gendy, we love you, but we just don’t like Popeye.”

This was the gist. I think they are still developing Bobtrying to find a way to make it happen, but not in the way I was doing, which I think was very honest and respectful of the way Bob I was.”
