Bernard Crippens, beloved narrator of the British children’s program “The Wombles” and actor in the movie “Doctor Who” died in the 1970s. He was 93 years old.

The actor in 2009 received a special award at the British Academy Children’s Awards. This honor was given by his former “Doctor Who” co-star Tate. Cribbins was later appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) on the Queen’s 2011 Birthday Honor Roll, for services to drama.
Crippens lost his 66-year-old wife, Jill, in 2021.
