Earlier this summer, former cast members Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle Bud meets the world, a retrospective podcast about the series that explains the episodes with insight and guest commentary from others helping to bring it to life. This week’s episode of the show got real with Fishel revealing details of the brutal treatment of show co-creator Michael Jacobs.
In the discussion, Fishel revealed that she initially wasn’t the actress in the role of Topanga, a part she booked when she was 12 and played until she was 20 (and then again in her 30s). She noted that her first day on the set was fraught with putting her in the spotlight in a bad way, with Jacobs fining her and performing in front of the rest of the cast to an embarrassing degree.
