Greg Capolo shares the first art of his new crossover

Announced last week at San Diego Comic-Con, Batman and Spawn will officially cross over again with a special one-shot that will be released in December. Spawn maker Todd McFarlane appeared during a Jim Lee & Friends panel to announce the title, which he will write, which will feature art by legendary artist Greg Capullo. After collaborating with McFarlane on dozens of versions of Spawn years before drawing one of the most acclaimed Batman sequels ever, Capullo made his mark on both characters in a huge way. Now Capullo has offered a teaser of what’s to come, as he shares the excitement of the crossover’s artwork.

Talk to MacFarlane IGN About the new intersection, he makes a huge prediction for the comics’ success, saying, “I’m going to sign up, it will easily be the biggest selling book of the year. I think we can get it, so it will be the biggest owned book of the century in our industry, period. The reason why I I say that in the last year King Spawn #1 appeared, I expanded my streak, and without Batman and without Greg Capolo we sold half a million copies.Give me Greg Capulo, the outstanding Batman artist who is the best Spawn artist because he did 80 problems with me, and you give me Batman, why can’t I Double that number?”

The new Batman/Spawn crossover marks the first time the two heroes have been together since 1994 Batman / Spawn: Demon of War and the Spawn/Batman One shot of Frank Miller and McFarlane. According to McFarlane, it will answer every question Spawn fans have asked about certain things since that initial crossover.

“People were asking ‘Hey, when is Greg Capolo going to paint Spawn again?'” For decades since he left to paint Batman. β€œSo in this issue (all your questions will be answered.” Todd, when are you going to work with Greg again?” In this issue.” Hey, when are they going to cross again? Those two characters?” In this issue. β€œHey when are we going to see these bad guys again? Other?” In that number. Everything will be there.”

McFarlane also offered another excitement about the issue, stating that they hope to make a single shot that can stand alongside the best single comic book shot ever.

β€œWhen I was a kid we had books like Arkham Asylum and The Killing Joke…we thought it was pretty cool and the only thing that bothered you was that it ended after one problem and it didn’t deliver more than 20 years later you still remember these issues. Our goal is to make one of those kinds of books.”

Batman / Spawn #1one take at the moment, will be released on December 13 by DC Comics, with Batman / Spawn: Demon of War It will be reissued on November 15th.
